600 people die in fires in Kazakhstan annually

ASTANA. July 11. KAZINFORM 18 000 fires occur in Kazakhstan annually, loss of property makes more than KZT 6 billion and 600 people die in fire per year on average.
Chairman of the Committee of fire-fighting service under the Kazakh Emergencies Ministry Serik Aubakirov made it public at the meeting with Majilis (Lower Chamber of the Kazakh Parliament) deputies on Wednesday (July 11) in Astana.
"70% of fires happen at residential houses, 10% - in transport facilities and only 6% are forest fires," he explained.
