6 killed in blast in southwest Pakistan

ISLAMABAD. March 31. KAZINFORM At least six people were killed in a blast that went off Thursday evening in Turbet, a district in Pakistan's southwest province of Balochistan, reported local Urdu TV channel Samaa. Kazinform refers to Xinhua.

According to the report, the blast took place at about 5:30 pm local time when a car hit a remote-control bomb planted by the roadside in the Timp area of Turbet, a district located to the southwestern tip of the country, which is close to Iran.

Other details about the blast are not immediately available at this point.

At least two terrorist blasts were reported Thursday in Pakistan. Earlier this afternoon, in the northwestern part of the country, namely Charsadda, a city located some 30 kilometers northeast of Peshawar, a suicide blast targeting at a local political party chief claimed 12 lives and injured over 30 others.
