6.5 magnitude quake hits Japan: USGS

NEW YORK. January 13. KAZINFORM An earthquake measuring 6.5 on the Richter scale hit Bonin Island, Japan, at 2132 GMT Wednesday, the U.S. Geological Survey (USGS) said. Kazinform refers to Xinhua.
The epicenter was 520 kilometers deep at 26.944 north latitude and 140.006 east longitude, the USGS said. Kazinform cites Xinhua. See www.xinhuanet.com
