6.3-magnitude quake hits off east coast of Japan's Honshu

BEIJING. July 23. KAZINFORM An earthquake measuring 6.3 on the Richter scale jolted the waters off the east coast of Honshu, Japan, at 12:34 a.m. Beijing Time Saturday, according to the China Earthquake Networks Center. Kazinform refers to Xinhua.
The epicenter, with a depth of 50 km, was monitored at 39 degrees north latitude and 142.1 degrees east longitude, the center said in a statement. Kazinform cites Xinhua. See www.xinhuanet.com
