6.1-magnitude quake hits east coast of Kamchatka Peninsula

BEIJING. February 21. KAZINFORM An earthquake measuring 6.1 on the Richter Scale hit off the east coast of Kamchatka Peninsula at 5:43 a.m. Beijing Time Monday, according to the China Earthquake Networks Center. Kazinform refers to Xinhua.
The epicenter was monitored at 55.9 degrees north latitude and 162.2 degrees east longitude with a depth of about 30 kilometers, the center said. Kazinform cites Xinhua. See www.xinhuanet.com
