58% of Kazakhstan women are in civil service - Minister G. Abdykalikova

ASTANA.  September 28. KAZINFORM /Kanat Kulshmanov/   58% of women in Kazakhstan are engaged in civil service, Minister of Labor and Social Protection, Chair of the National Commission for Women's Affairs under the Kazakh President Gulshara Abdykalikova said it at the V General Assembly of the International Conference of Asia's Political Parties held in Astana.

According to her, the number of women working in representative bodies of the country grows every year. "Thus, the number of women employees in the Majilis of the Kazakh Parliament has doubled compared to the last convocation and makes 17% of all deputies. As for the central executive bodies, there is one female minister, two agencies chairs, five vice ministers and four executive secretaries of ministries at present", she added.
