56 thousand people underwent treatment in hospitals of Kazakhstan in H1 2012

ASTANA. August 11. KAZINFORM 56 thousand people underwent treatment in hospitals of Kazakhstan within the guaranteed volume of free medical care in the first half of 2012, the press service of the Healthcare Ministry reported.

56098.22 people underwent treatment in the hospitals of the country in the first half of 2012 and 56463.47 people - in the first half of 2011, the Ministry informed.

As the Ministry informs, the hospital stock of public hospitals reduce from 103456 to 102773 over 6 months of the year.

The number of doctors increased from 51760 to 52524 in the reporting period, while the number of the nursing staff increased from 126704 to 130142 people.

A decade on prevention of oncologic diseases dedicated to the World Day against Cancer will be held this year under "Salamatty Kazakhstan" program for 2011-2015.

Totally, 773 public hospitals, 2163 outpatient organizations and policlinics as well as 25 stations and 277 emergency medical care departments render medical assistance to the population of Kazakhstan.
