An earthquake measuring 5.0 on the MPV scale was recorded 486km away from Almaty city this afternoon, Kazinform News Agency reports.
The epicenter of the quake was located in the territory of China, 486 km southeast of Almaty city. The earthquake was recorded at 01:36pm local time today.
It hit at a depth of 5km.
