An earthquake measuring 5.0 on the MPV scale has been recorded 592km from Almaty city at 8:47am today, Kazinform News Agency reports.
The epicenter of the quake was located on the border of Tajikistan and Kyrgyzstan, 592km southwest of Almaty city.
It hit at a depth of 5km.
