50 Kazakh teachers will upgrade skills at the Nazarbayev University
ASTANA. July 12. KAZINFORM - Graduate School of Education at Nazarbayev University has opened the training of teachers, the number of which is 50, who work in secondary schools of different regions of the country, the press service of the educational institution reports.
"Our school has a rich and varied program, developed infrastructure - everything one needs for high-quality professional development of teachers. For training of Kazakhstani teachers we attract the best teachers from foreign countries, such as the UK, USA, Canada, Finland," says CEO of the Graduate School of Education at Nazarbayev University Aida Sagintayeva.
Training of teachers is conducted at Nazarbayev University for the third time. In 2011, together with the coaches of the Department of the University of Cambridge International Examinations there was a course called "Methodology of developing critical thinking skills" for 50 teachers of Kazakh schools.
In 2012, 100 teachers from 12 regions of Kazakhstan completed the course of training. At the end of the course there was a release of a collection of scientific papers resulted from training during the course, as well as the research and practice of school teachers. Innovative ideas and developments, as reflected in these articles, are now being used not only by the authors themselves, but also by other teachers of Kazakh schools.
"Also, last year for the first time there was a program of improving skills for management of higher educational institutions called "Best Practices of Corporate Governance in the autonomy of institutions of higher education." To improve their qualification 20 rectors and vice-rectors of universities of Kazakhstan became for some period of time the students of the Nazarbayev University ", says the press service.
According to the graduates, the training of teachers provide an opportunity to learn new technology training in schools, to raise the level of knowledge of the English language (lessons are given in English), and is also an excellent platform for exchange of professional experience.
