50 drivers apprehended in Astana over a week for driving under the influence of alcohol

ASTANA. KAZINFORM - In Astana, traffic patrol police inspectors detected more than 6 000 violations of the Traffic Code over the last week, astana.kz reports.
"Over the past week metropolitan policemen detected and suppressed more than 6 000 various violations of the Traffic Code. They suppressed about 500 cases of violation of crosswalk passage, 328 cases of entering the oncoming lane, 226 violations of overtaking and maneuvering rules, 153 cases of overspeeding", the agency reports.
Besides, 50 drivers were apprehended for driving under the influence of alcohol, 39 drivers were apprehended for driving without documents, and 311 pedestrians were detected crossing the street in inappropriate places.
