5.5M quake shakes Afghanistan

ASTANA. KAZINFORM The Seismic Stations Network of the Ministry of Emergencies has recorded a 5.5-magnitude earthquake in the territory of Afghanistan, Kazinform reports.

The quake occurred on Monday, August 21, at 10:40:09 am, 850 kilometers southwest of Almaty, at a depth of 180 kilometers.

The coordinators of the epicenter are 37.05° north latitude, 70.99° east longitude.
