4G to gain widespread acceptance in Astana in 2013, Minister

TANA. November 23. KAZINFORM /Damir Baimanov/ "Industrial exploitation of 4G technologies in Astana will start in 2013," Kazakh Communications and Information Minister Askar Zhumagaliyev told AstanaSmart 2011 conference.
4G is the fourth generation of cellular wireless standards. It is a successor to the 3G and 2G families of standards. It is characterized by setting peak speed at 100 Mbit/s for high mobility communication.
