41°C heat, storms and rain forecast across Kazakhstan this weekend

The Kazakh National Weather Service, Kazhydromet, has issued its weather forecast for Kazakhstan for 20-22 June 2026, Qazinform News Agency reports.
Most areas of the country are expected to experience brief rain, thunderstorms, gusty winds, and possible hail over the weekend as atmospheric fronts move through Kazakhstan. Heavy rainfall is forecast for the western regions on June 21-22.
Air temperatures are expected to reach between 30 to 38 degrees Celsius in northwestern Kazakhstan, with extremely high temperatures rising to 40-41 degrees Celsius in the central part of the country. In the western region, temperatures are anticipated to decrease slightly to 22-23 degrees Celsius on June 21-22.
