40-degree frost to come to Astana next week
ASTANA. January 25. KAZINFORM - The winter is at the very height. Deep cyclone moving from the Caspian Sea regions will cause precipitation in most parts of Kazakhstan, astana.kz.
Snow, blizzard and wind increase are expected in north regions. On January 30, 31 precipitations will end, but the temperature will fall to -33, and somewhere -38 degrees, according to forecasters.
Zhuldyz Isabekova, chief engineer of short-range weather forecast, RHE "Kazgidromet":
"Tomorrow in Astana we expect the weather to be with no precipitation, temperature at night will be -24 -26 degrees, and in the daytime -20 -22. From January 26 there will be precipitation, snow, increase of wind, blizzard, temperature lowering, -25 -27 degrees at night, and -10 -12 degrees in the daytime. The frost will be not so strong in time of precipitation; but on 30-31 of January there will be no precipitation in Astana, but the temperature will fall to -30 -32 degrees at night, and -25 -27 degrees in the daytime. We talk about 40 degrees, somewhere 38, up to -42 in Akmola province".
In the start of February approximately the same weather will remain. Frost up to -35 -38 degrees at night, and -25 -30 in the daytime, is expected in north regions of Kazakhstan.
