4,2 magnitude earthquake jolts Almaty region

ASTANA. KAZINFORM - An earthquake measuring 4.2 on the Richter scale was recorded in Kazakh Almaty region on August 30, Kazakhstan's Seismological Expedition of the Science Committee under Education and Science Ministry reported.
The earthquake occurred at 08:31 p.m. Almaty time, 30 km to the south-east of the city of Almaty. Energy class of the earthquake was 8.7. There is no information about victims or damage.
