The boy fell five floors before striking the roof of a first-floor shop. Witnesses heard the child crying and called the rescue service. The boy was admitted to an intensive care unit with injuries of moderate severity. In recent years the number of children falling out of windows has grown. According to statistics, the children who fell out of windows are aged between 1 and 5. To reduce the risk of children falling out of windows, people should make sure that windows are difficult to access. Parents should not rely on window nets as they do not prevent a kid from falling out of a window. Moreover, the child feels safe behind the nets and usually leans on both the window and the net.
