3rd World Sailboat Racing Championship kicks off on Lake Balkhash (PHOTOS)

BALKHASH. KAZINFORM - The 3rd World Sailboat Racing Championship is underway on Lake Balkhash in the Karaganda region.
The championship brought together nearly 500 athletes representing 36 teams from Kazakhstan, Russia, Belarus, Ukraine, Uzbekistan and Baltic countries. Participants are expected to compete in the 325km-long race. It is worth noting that a female team Monella from Almaty participates in this year's championship.
