380 bln invested into mining industry of Kazakhstan over 2 years
ASTANA. June 13. KAZINFORM The volume of investments into the ore mining and smelting sector of Kazakhstan has amounted to KZT 380 billion over the last two years.
Vice Prime Minister - Minister of Industry and New Technologies Asset Issekeshev has announced the figures at the IV Congress of Workers of the Mining and Smelting Industry in Astana today.
More than 40 projects worth KZT 380 billion have been implemented in this sector from 2010 through 2012. Nearly 12 thousand new jobs have been created over that period. The time to rest on our oars has not come. We need to modernize the ore mining and smelting complex to preserve the growth rates. At least 30 new projects are being realized in this direction presently," said A. Issekeshev.
In his words, the investment climate in the sphere of suboil management is being improved on the instruction of President Nazarbayev. "The ore mining and smelting sector is the foundation of our economy. And we go to great lengths to develop it," summed up Minister Issekeshev.
