36 new kindergartens to be built in Kazakhstan - Education Minister

ASTANA. KAZINFORM - 36 new kindergartens are to be built in Kazakhstan in 2015-2017 within the framework of implementation of the "Nurly zhol - Path to the Future" program, according to Minister of Education and Science Aslan Sarinzhipov.
"Despite measures taken, there is still lack of kindergartens in the republic. Nearly half million children are waiting for a place [at kindergarten]. This is due to a recent baby boom in the country," Mr. Sarinzhipov said at the meeting of the ministry. In his words, construction of the new kindergartens will solve the problem of lack of pre-school educational institutions in Kazakhstan to a certain degree in 2015-2017.
