34 evacuated as residential complex catches fire in Astana

ASTANA. November 5. KAZINFORM A cable in the lift shaft of a 9-story residential complex caught fire in Almaty district of Astana city Monday, the press service of the Ministry of Emergencies reported.
The firefighters called to the scene put out the blaze that engulfed the cable. 34 people, including 22 children, were evacuated from the building. A 20-year-old young woman was hospitalized with carbon monoxide poisoning.
