ASTANA. KAZINFORM - In January-September of the current year, Kazakhstan's population has increased by 192.9 thousand people or 1.1%, reported the press service of the Committee on Statistics under the Ministry of National Economy.
In general, the population of the country as of October 1, 2014 amounted to 17 million 353.7 thousand people, including in urban areas - 9 million 578.3 thousand people (55.2%), and in rural areas - 7 million 775, 4 thousand people (44.8%). Number of births in January-September 2014 has reached 301, 3 thousand people, which is 8 thousand or 2.7% more than in January-September 2013.
