3 Centers for Energy Efficiency to be opened in Kazakhstan in 2012

ASTANA. March 11. KAZINFORM. 3 Centers for Energy Efficiency are planned to be built in Kazakhstan in 2012 within the project on energy saving, Chairman of JSC Kazakhstan Center for Modernization and Development of Housing and Utilities Toleutai Rakhimbekov said in his interview for Pm.kz site.

3 Centers for Energy Efficiency with demonstration platforms for displaying the latest technologies will be built in 2012 in Kazakhstan. Around 2.5 thousand specialists and heads of different enterprises will be trained on the basis of these Centers,' T. Rakhimbekov said.

According to him, about KZT 1 trillion will be allocated for implementation of the Housing and Utilities Sector Modernization Program and 13 billion of it is planned for repair of apartment houses and 11 billion for repair of utilities network.

'We plan to conduct energy audit of apartment houses, assessment of technical state of heating networks, develop more than 20 projects and legal and technical documents on this direction,' he added.

Besides, he noted that implementation of applied scientific researches in the sphere of housing and utilities began in 2012 and informed about active participation of the Center in realization of the Complex Plan on energy efficiency and energy saving.
