2nd International Mining and Metallurgy Congress concluded in Astana

ASTANA. July 5. KAZINFORM /Damir Baimanov/ The 2nd International Mining and Metallurgy Congress AMM-2011 concluded in Astana today.

Delegates from 25 countries participated in the forum. 1,300 people took part in the event. 6 key memorandums of cooperation in mining-metallurgical sector were signed within the congress.

Vice Minister of Industry and New Technologies Albert Rau noted at the final press conference that participation of delegates from 25 countries demonstrated interest of the world community to Kazakhstan as the state with its own investment climate and dynamics of development.

According to A. Rau, the dialogue platform that worked for two days in Astana within the forum presented good opportunity to discuss problems in this sphere.

At the end he added that the 3rd International Mining and Metallurgy Congress that is scheduled for the next year would continue its work in this format.
