2nd Central Asian Internet development forum to debate Internet-related issues

ALMATY. June 17. KAZINFORM The 2nd Central Asian Internet development forum organized by the OSCE Centre in Astana, Delegation of the European Union to Kazakhstan, "MediaNet" International Centre of Journalism, the Soros Foundation Kazakhstan and Media Alliance of Kazakhstan will take place on June 23.

The two-day forum will involve a diverse group of stakeholders in discussions on regional Internet-related issues. The event will bring together young journalists, civil society representatives and government officials, international organizations and independent researchers, as well as international experts and a number of the most active Internet users and advocates (e.g. bloggers), press service of the OSCE Centre in Astana reports.

Participants will speak about a variety of topics including: the Internet and freedom of expression, governmental regulation of the Internet, business aspects of the Internet, and local electronic media content.
