28 new engineering products to be produced in Kazakhstan

"Machine-building enterprises with the assistance of the sectorial design bureau launched production of 28 new types of products, including tillage machines, doors for cars, valves, quick couplings and other items," the press release reads.

In 2012, these enterprises also designed 225 sets of design and engineering, regulatory and technical documentation for new products for the engineering enterprises.

The bureau started to apply 3D scanning, 3D printing, and now it is perhaps one of the strongest teams of design engineers in the country who use 3D-technology and provide quality services to domestic machine-building companies.

It should be noted that the bureau works in four areas: transportation, agricultural machinery, mining and oil and gas equipment.

In addition the agency continues to work to strengthen financial and performance discipline, process optimization and alignment of common patterns of activity for subsidiaries.

Thus, in 2012 an estimated net profit of the company was about 200 million tenge (without assessment of the current value of the investment).

JSC "National Agency for Technological Development" is a national development institution in the field of technological development. The state-run agency is the successor of JSC "National Innovation Fund". The agency was created to assist in the coordination of processes of innovation development and the provision of government support measures.

In general, in 2010-2012 the agency supported more than 400 innovation projects, including provision of 138 innovation grants, supported 96 start-up projects in the framework of technology business incubation, etc.
