28 died in flood in Almaty region

ASTANA. March 13. KAZINFORM. /Damir Baimanov/ 28 people died in the flood in Almaty region; Kazinform refers to the press service of Kazakh Ministry of Emergencies.

By 7 p.m. Friday, March 12, during the search and rescue operations the bodies of 28 people, including 15 women, 9 men and 4 children were found.

A field hospital and tents for 1,000 places were set up beside the village of Kyzyl-Agash. 654 people and 103 units of equipment are involved in mitigation of consequences. A Governmental Commission headed by Prime Minister Karim Massimov is working there.
