27th Asian International Stamp Exhibition to be held in E China
NANJING. May 11. KAZINFORM The 27th Asian International Stamp Exhibition will be held in the city of Wuxi in east China's Jiangsu Province from November 11 to 15, local authorities said Wednesday.
Jointly organized by the State Post Bureau, China Post Group Corporation, All-China Philatelic Federation and the Jiangsu provincial government, the event will display 1,300 precious stamps from 26 Inter-Asia Philatelic Federation members.
According to Xinhua, the five-day event will also feature exhibitions of stamp designs, forums on stamp collecting and auctions of precious stamps, the Wuxi city government said in a statement.
Additionally, the exhibition will offer activities showing visitors how stamps are created.
The exhibition's executive committee has kicked off a national youth competition on stamp designs and some of the best designs will be on display during the event.
The committee has opened an official website and a microblog to get more people involved in the event.
