260,000 jobs to be created within Road map ? Nur Otan National Platform implementation

In its election platform the party announced a plan to create about 100,000 jobs annually, expansion of a practice of organization of social and special jobs, professional training for unemployed population and etc. This year in the connection with the influence of the world financial-economic crisis on the country?s economy the Government takes special measures on ensuring employment and new jobs creation. KZT 140 bln were additionally allocated from the national budget and KZT 51 bln ? from the local budgets for these purposes. 260,000 additional jobs will be created within the framework of the Road map elaborated by the Government for execution of the Kazakh President?s Message to the Nation ?Through Crisis to Renovation and Prosperity?. KZT 14.4 bln are foreseen for specialists? professional training and retraining, KZT 11.5 bln out of which are distributed among the regions. As a result over 100,000 people will be trained and retrained. KZT 8.6 bln were allocated from the national budget to create social jobs and expand the youth practice. Besides, at the Government?s initiative the local executive bodies and large enterprises signed memoranda of social responsibility. As of January 1, 2009 about 4,000 memoranda of social projects implementation amounting to over KZT 74.5 bln were signed. At present memoranda of preservation of jobs and prevention of job cuts were reached with 4,874 enterprises of the republic.
