242 died, 992 injured in road accidents in 2011 in Karaganda

KARAGANDA. January 5. KAZINFORM /Olga Petrenko/ 844 car accidents were registered last year in Karaganda region leaving 242 people dead and 992 injured, the press service of the regional road police department said.
The number of deaths caused by road accidents in 2011 reduced by 11.5 percent as compared to 2010.
Road traffic accidents involving children reached 138, killing 17 and sending 142 kids to hospital.
