SHYMKENT. September 2. KAZINFORM /Tatyana Pylayeva/ 23 new schools were opened in South Kazakhstan region in the new schools year.
21 of them were constructed on governmental funds, 2 - by private citizens. The total capacity of schools is up to 10 thousand people.
The schools were mostly built on "100 schools, 100 hospitals" program in all districts of the region. However, despite the opening of so many schools the deficit of pupils' places still exists in the region.
In order to fully provide school students with pupils' places meeting modern requirements it is necessary to build 40 new schools every year. 19 facilities are planned to be put into operation by the end of the years, 20 more facilities - next year.
