22 miners trapped in a coal mine in China's Xinjiang

BEIJING. December 13. KAZINFORM - As a result of a gas blast in a coal mine near Urumqi that occurred today at 01:26 local time in Xinjiang Uygur Autonomous Region (northwest China), 22 miners remain trapped underground, according to local authorities.
The blast occurred when 34 miners were working there, but 12 managed to escape. Rescuers are searching for the trapped miners.
