21st World Petroleum Congress kicks off in Moscow

ASTANA. KAZINFORM - Arkady Dvorkovich Deputy Prime Minister of Russia has made a welcoming speech during the 21st World Petroleum Congress on June 16, in Moscow, Russia.

Speaking at the plenary session Dvorkovich said that in the framework of the event Russia will represent the main elements of the Russian Energy Strategy until 2035. "The goals we set within the development of energy strategy include expanded oil production due to accelerated exploration, formation of new oil complexes, mainly in eastern Russia, as well as the introduction of modern methods of enhanced oil recovery", said Deputy Prime Minister. He noted that Russia intends to gain a foothold in the energy market of the Asia-Pacific region, as well as to maintain presence in European markets. Recall that the 21st World Petroleum Congress has being attended by Kazakhstan National Committee of World Petroleum Council, represented by oil and gas companies-members of KAZENERGY Association. World Petroleum Congress is taking place in Moscow. It will run until June 19. The event gathered 5,000 delegates from 80 countries.
