2024 Olympic Games Day 6: Results of Kazakh athletes

After Day 6 of the ongoing 2024 Olympic Games in Paris, Kazakhstan still has one gold and two bronze medals, Kazinform News Agency cites the Ministry of Tourism and Sports of the Republic of Kazakhstan.

Kazakhstani boxer Nazym Kyzaibay beat her opponent Caroline de Almeida of Brazil, a 2023 Pan American Games champion, in the women’s 50kg event in Round of 16, advancing to the quarterfinal.

In quarterfinal, Kazakhstan’s Aibek Oralbay lost to Cuban-born Azerbaijani boxer Loren Alfonso Dominguez, champion of the 2019 European Games in Minsk and 2020 Olympics bronze medalist. Oralbay confidently led the first round with a score of 4:1. The second and the third rounds were dominated by Loren Alfonso Dominguez 3:2 and 3:2, respectively. 

Kazakh boxer Mukhammedsabyr Bazarbaiuly could not reach the semifinal as well. He fought against Georgian Lasha Guruli, bronze medalist of the 2021 AIBA World Boxing Championships, in men's 63.5kg quarterfinal, where he lost a chance to compete in semifinals.

Kazakhstani shooters Alexandra Le and Arina Altukhova participated in the 50m Rifle 3 Positions Women's Qualification. According to the rules, the top eight qualification’s athletes propel to the finals. Alexandra Le and Arina Altukhova were ranked 10th and 13th, respectively. Therefore, Kazakhstani athletes failed to advance to the finals.

Kazakhstani judoka Nurlykhan Sharkhan lost his second bout against Uzbek Muzaffarbek Turoboyev in the Men’s -100 kg Elimination Round of 16.

Kazakhstani archer Dauletkeldi Zhangbyrbay participated in the men's archery individual 1/32 elimination round where he was upset by Colombian Jorge Enriquez, who outperformed him with a score 7-3.


Alexandr Yeremenko finished his performance at the 2024 Olympic Games. Kazakhstani archer clashed with French Baptiste Addis in the men's archery individual 1/32 elimination round. The French outperformed Kazakhstani archer with a score of 6-2.
