2015 is of paramount importance - President Nazarbayev
ASTANA. KAZINFORM - Head of State Nursultan Nazarbayev announced on Friday that the upcoming year is of paramount importance for Kazakhstan since several historic milestones are to be celebrated, Kazinform has learnt from the Akorda's press service.
"Events commemorating the Year of People's Assembly of the Republic of Kazakhstan and the 20th anniversary of the Constitution of the Republic of Kazakhstan will be celebrated in 2015," President Nazarbayev said at the solemn ceremony dated to the Independence Day of the Republic of Kazakhstan at the Astana Opera Theater. "550th anniversary of the Kazakh khanate will also be marked next year." According to the Kazakh leader, Kazakhstan together with its CIS neighbors will also commemorate the 70th anniversary of the Great Patriotic War. "The memory of heroic deed of the WWII soldiers is sacred to us and it unites us," Nursultan Nazarbayev said noting the history of independent Kazakhstan is based on unity.
