2014 budget income grew due to excise and tax hikes

ASTANA. KAZINFORM "KZT1,7 trillion in direct taxes were transferred for the past five months to the National Fund of Kazakhstan. Fiscal revenues increased by KZT 461 bln," Deputy Prime Minister of Kazakhstan, Finance Minister Bakhyt Sultanov told a briefing at the Central Communications Service under the Kazakh President.

"For the past five months the budget revenues grew by 17.5 % or KZT 461 bln against the same period of 2013. Increase in tobacco and alcohol excise duty, export customs duty, estate and transport tax rates and attracting of the National Fund transfers to the amount of KZT 350 bln more as compared to the analogous period of 2013 caused further increase in revenues," he stated.
