2012 Kazakhstan EducationUSA Advisers' Workshop

ASTANA. July 24. KAZINFORM On July 19th-20th, 2012, the U.S. Embassy in Astana hosted an educational workshop for EducationUSA advising centers' advisers from all Kazakhstan.

Eight EducationUSA Advisers from the region discussed the activities of the advising centers with special focus on the EducationUSA Kazakhstan. There was discussion on the existing operations, needs and challenges of each advising centers. EducationUSA advisors shared their best practices, discussed EducationUSA strategic priorities including marketing, mobile advising; virtual outreach and using technologies and social media. In addition, consular officers gave updates on student's visa procedure, the center for international programs " Bolashak" and Nazarbayev university made presentations on existing and new programs, the press service of the US Diplomatic Mission to Kazakhstan said.

EducationUSA is a global network of more than 400 advising centers supported by the U.S. Department of State.  EducationUSA centers actively promote U.S. higher education around the world by offering accurate, unbiased, comprehensive, objective and timely information about educational institutions in the United States and guidance to qualified individuals on how best to access those opportunities.
