Within the festivities concerts of the famous Kazakh pianist A. Tebenikhin and Lithuanian St. Christopher Chamber orchestra were organized .
They were attended by deputies of the Seimas (parliament) of Lithuania, the chairmen of parliamentary committees, government officials, prominent politicians and public figures, representatives of business circles, diplomatic corps, the media, the Kazakh Diaspora in Lithuania.
Kazakh Ambassador to Lithuania Galymzhan Koyshybayev stressed the Kazakh-Lithuanian progress for the since 20 years of the diplomatic relation establishment.
Successful chairmanship of two countries in the OSCE, interaction of the transit-transport sphere, successful launch of "Saule" container train under the patronage of two Presidents, Kazakh -Lithuanian Council Establishment and active cooperation in the sphere of education, medicine and culture speak for the effective bilateral cooperation.
Vice Minister of Foreign affairs of Lithuania Evaldas Ignatavicius noted that last and current years are special for the Kazakh -Lithuanian relations: in 2011 we celebrated 20 years since our countries recognized an independency of each other; this year we celebrate the 20th anniversary of the diplomatic relations establishment.
"Our countries have come a long way, developing the political, economic and cultural ties. High-level dialogue between our countries has created a solid foundation for mutual cooperation, " E. Ignatavicius added.
