20 thousand people to be involved in preparation and conduct of Astana anniversary
ASTANA. KAZINFORM - 20 thousand people will be involved in the preparation and conduct of the Day of Capital this year, head of the department of culture of Astana city Bolat Mazhagulov told a briefing in the Central Communications Service, Kazinform refers to primeminister.kz.
According to him, the celebration will include 70 events, which will start on June 20 and will be conditionally divided into two blocks.
The first block consists of competitions and concerts, including a children's television competition, an annual theater festival with a series of performances by domestic and Russian masters of arts, etc.
The second block consists of outdoor cultural events.
"According to the sociological study outdoor events are the most popular among the Astana residents and guests. Therefore, in view of these wishes we've paid much attention paid to folk festivals, concerts on the squares and in the parks," Mazhagulov said.
In addition, Anna Netrebko and La Scala theatre, popular singers including Akon, Blue, Polina Gagarina and Larisa Dolina will perform at this year's celebration of Astana anniversary.
About 700 million tenge is allocated for the celebration of the Capital Day this year.
