20 killed in attack on bar in northeastern Mexican city: report

MEXICO CITY. July 9. KAZINFORM At least 20 people were killed and five others injured in an attack by gunmen on a bar in northeastern Mexican city of Monterrey on Friday, local media reported; Kazinform refers to Xinhua.
The unidentified gunmen fired AK-47 assault rifles at people in the "El Sabino Gordo" bar in downtown Monterrey, causing the heavy casualties, according to reports by several Mexican newspapers.
Monterrey is the capital of the Nuevo Leon state, which is plagued by drug-related violence; Kazinform cites Xinhua.
