2 killed, 5 wounded in US shooting spree
GAINESVILLE. October 5. KAZINFORM A shooting spree around Gainesville on Monday afternoon left two people dead and five wounded and a suspect shot himself, police said; Kazinform refers to China Daily.
A man in a red truck shot seemingly unrelated people at several locations, starting around 4 pm local time, Gainesville police Cpl. Tscharna Senn told The Gainesville Sun. Five victims were shot within city limits, while the other two were shot in Alachua County, Senn said.
There was no immediate motive for the shootings.
"We have no idea right now, absolutely none," Senn said. "It appears to be random."
Police Capt. Ed Book said the suspect was pulled over and shot himself. His condition was not immediately available; Kazinform cites China Daily.
