1st project of Silk Road Fund to be aimed at development of hydro power industry in Pakistan

BEIJING. KAZINFORM - The Chinese Fund of the Silk Road will allocate the first investment package for development of hydropower industry in Pakistan, it was informed during the official state visit of President of China Xi Jinping to Islamabad, Chinese mass media reported.
"The Fund will allocate the money of China Three Gorges South Asia Investment Company to the subdivision of China Three Gorges Corporation for development of hydropower project "Karot" in Pakistan and other national projects in the sphere of clean energy," the joint Chinese-Pakistani statement reads.
