14yo sensation wins Kazakhstani Figure Skating Championship

ASTANA. KAZINFORM - Figure skater Elizabet Tursynbayeva has won gold at the Kazakhstani Figure Staking Championship in Kyzylorda, Kazinform has learnt from Vesti.kz.

The 14-year-old sensation edged out older and more experienced opponents on her way to coveted gold. Aiza Imambek clinched silver. Bronze went to Regina Glazman from Almaty city. As for Men's category, Abzal Rakimgaliyev hauled gold. Daniyar Adylov and Artur Panikhin collected silver and bronze respectively. The most decorated figure skater of Kazakhstan Denis Ten didn't take part in the championship. As for the young talent, Tursynbayeva is trained by renowned Canadian coach Brian Orser who brought to stardom Olympic champions Kim Yuna in 2010 (South Korea) and Yuzuru Hanyu in 2014 (Japan).
