140 citizens of Kazakhstan evacuated from Syria

ASTANA. February 18. KAZINFORM More than 140 citizens of Kazakhstan have been evacuated from Syria.

Deputy Chairman of the Committee for International Information under the Foreign Ministry of Kazakhstan Zhanbolat Ussenov made it public at a Monday briefing.

"The ministry continues to evacuate citizens of Kazakhstan permanently or temporarily residing in Syria due to unstable situation and security threat in the country. To date, more than 140 citizens of Kazakhstan have been evacuated with the help of the Foreign Ministry. The ministry receives thank-you letters from the Kazakh citizens on a regular basis. For instance, Yuliya Mukhina's family sent a letter of thanks to the ministry and Kazakh Ambassador in Jordan Bolat Sarsenbayev for timely evacuation of their daughter and three grandchildren from Daraa, Syria," Zh. Ussenov said.
