12-year education one of important components of moving forward -Education Minister

"In developed countries it is considered so that all people should get 10 years of education to be ready for the labor market", said Aslan Sarinzhipov. "If you're going to college to get a higher education, you need two more years to prepare and develop the so-called academic skills. That is, you should be able to handle information in the library electronic resources, on your own".

The Minister gave the example of the Nazarbayev University, which he had headed until recently. "When we come to the undergraduate programs from abroad, our graduates after 11 students were not ready to succeed in school for these programs. We had to introduce one additional year. For those who are ready and for those who want will on the basis of universities receive an additional year. Important point is that it will take place in those universities that receive autonomy, and at first it will be a first small group of most "advanced" Kazakh universities, with improved undergraduate program, and there will be a one-year extension, during which they will prepare students for these international requirements, plus additional hours of language proficiency".
