11th session of ICAPP Standing Committee kicks off in Astana
ANA. September 24. KAZINFORM /Muratbek Makulbekov/ The 11th session of the Standing Committee of the International Conference of Asian Political Parties (ICAPP) is being held in the Central Office of Nur Otan People's Democratic Party.
The issues regarding preparation and holding the V session of the ICAPP General Assembly, participation of the Standing Committee's members in the upcoming plenary session of the Coordinating Body of the Permanent Conference of Political Parties in Latin America and the Caribbean (COPPPAL) are on the agenda. Besides, the issue on joint initiative of the ICAPP and COPPPAL directed to tuning up contacts with political parties of Africa is also under discussion. The Standing Committee's members should get acquainted with draft Declaration of the V session of the ICAPP General Assembly.
Opening the session, Deputy Chairman of Nur Otan Party Darkhan Kaletayev welcomed the Committee members on the behalf of the Party Chairman, Kazakhstan President Nursultan Nazarbayev. He informed of the work carried out within the framework of preparation for the V session of the ICAPP General Assembly and noted that draft Astana Declaration was developed with participation of experts of the Parliamentarism Institute of Nur Otan Party and embodies key issues of the agenda.
In the course of the ICAPP General Assembly two plenary sessions will be held on September 25-26.
