113 Muslims of Mangystau rgn to perform Hajj
AKTAU. KAZINFORM - Mangystau region's Department for Consumer Protection has registered 113 pilgrims planning to perform Hajj to Mecca.
"People can get visa to Saudi Arabia through travel agencies or a representative office in Mangystau. Accordingly, they will have to pass a medical examination," said the head of the department Maral Kadir.
More than half of the 113 Muslims who want to perform Hajj to Mecca have already passed medical examination and were vaccinated against seasonal influenza and meningococcal disease.
Hajj is the journey to Islam's holiest places, which every Muslim is urged to make at least once. Hajj is the fifth pillar of Islam, along with a prayer, the fasting month of Ramadan (Ramazan) and others.
Pilgrims of Mangystau region will hit the road on September 25.
