11 people killed in 2nd major mine fire in the year in Kazakhstan

A fire occurred in the Kostenko mine, leading to the deaths of 11 people in Karaganda region. 18 more people were taken to hospital with different injuries, Kazinform Agency correspondent reports.
There were 252 workers, of whom 205 were lifted to the surface, at the time of the accident.
40 resuers, 10 machinery items, and three psychologists are working on the sport to offer aid to the family members of those died and to those injured.
The region's governor extended his deep condolences over the deaths of the miners.
Earlier it was reported that the second patient with a confirmed anthrax diagnosis had been admitted to the ICU ward in Karaganda region.
