ALMATY. April 4. KAZINFORM - Kazakhstan business can compete with large foreign companies in the oilfield services segment. It has been said to Kazinform reporter by General Director of "Kezbi" Bitim Kezbaev after awarding the finalists of "Entrepreneur of the Year 2012 in Kazakhstan" at the end of the previous week in Almaty. He was among the winners.
Prominent businessman from Aktau considers it necessary to develop and support the domestic production and services in the oil and gas industry, one of the most strategically important in Kazakhstan. He set up the partnership in 1992 and is busy with servicing oil and gas companies operating in Mangistau and Atyrau regions. In the early years "Kezbi" was generally working at repairing the wells. In 2007 the company started to practice drilling. Among the clients are local companies and joint ventures with foreign participation.
Today B.Kezbaev is a professional with nearly 50 years of experience. His career began when a schoolboy during on-job practice as a production assistant driller of oil wells. Basics and tricks he learned when being assistant driller in trust "Mangyshlaknefterazvedka", where in 1970 he returned after graduating the Kazakh Polytechnic Institute. After years of work in this institution with his direct participation the following deposits were discovered like "Kalamkas", "Karazhanbas", "Komsomol" and others. In the years of 1977-1980 as one of the best people he worked in trust "Zarubezhgeologiya" of the Ministry of Geology of the USSR in Afghanistan.
Starting a business "from scratch", B.Kezbaev has created a dynamic company for 20 years, formed a well-coordinated team, which now employs more than 750 people. Experienced businessman pays great importance to the application of new technologies and methods, using the most modern equipment from Russia, China and Europe. And at the same time constantly improves his education level and is for training his employees.
Today his team has 12 full-strength teams, five of them are drilling wells up to 2500 meters. There is mastering tools for drilling deeper - 3 200-3 800 m. The company has the necessary equipment and specialists. "Great experience and technical equipment allows us to compete successfully in the sector of services to oil and gas companies in the region," says B.Kezbaev. According to the businessman, his fundamental difference from many other businesses that he was able to create something new, not just improve the already strong case.
All these years B.Kezbaev has been focusing on corporate social responsibility, actively supporting the policy to improve the lives of the region's ecosystem conservation, education development, health, civil institutions, science, culture and sport. Personally supervises a number of major projects and social welfare programs, providing effective assistance to needy countrymen.
