10-year-old girl saves her friend who fell through ice

ASTANA. January 23. KAZINFORM A 5th grade student of a school-lyceum in Taskala village of West Kazakhstan region Zhanerke Yerlanova saved her friend who fell into ice hole when they were going home together after school.
At first, the courageous 10-year-old started to call for help, but no one was nearby, so she pulled her friend from the ice prison herself. Then Zhanerke took her friend home.
The Department of Emergency of West Kazakhstan region could not ignore the valiant deed of the fifth-grader. The chief of water rescue service presented the letter of thanks to Zhanerke.
